Concerts, Plays and Picnics in our Nursery Department – Developing a sense of community at King’s Oak

Our Nursery Picnic has been running for more than eight years and it’s getting bigger and better every year. It’s a great opportunity for parents, grandparents, carers, children and teachers to spend valuable time together and a lovely way of celebrating the end of another successful academic year.

The children in the Nursery enjoyed spending time together in our green playground; relaxing and enjoying good food and happily playing lots of games. There’s something great about fresh air and sunshine that just puts children in a good mood and motivates them to get some exercise!

The Nursery Picnic is always a wonderful time to catch up with the faces that have grown so familiar; it’s a great opportunity to say goodbye to some friends and to celebrate the many wonderful things the children have learned this year!

Through music, nursery rhymes and songs children from the Early Years Department reviewed what they’ve learned during the school year. Over the year; the children grew and learnt so much that it is simply amazing, and our presentations are an important part of recognising this. The children’s time in nursery is highly precious and something valued by parents and teachers alike. Every year our children are moving on to new discoveries and new accomplishments but they take with them the many happy memories and a genuine love of learning.

The end of the year concerts were designed to celebrate those things through a fun, relaxed and exciting nursery celebration. All the concerts were wonderful. Well done everyone!
