Creativity

At Kings Oak British International School we value creativity. Our teachers structure the curriculum to enable the children to build progressively on skills in every area. The art work within the school is at a very high standard and in Year 4 the children are presently carrying out an in-depth study of the life of Vincent van Gogh.

Here are a small number of our children, working in our new, purpose built Art rooms, deeply focused on reproducing the style of his paintings, capturing the same ‘flicks’ and ”swirls”of his brushstrokes, that imbued his artwork with a sense of movement. This style  led van Gogh to become one of the most famous of the ”Impressionist” artists but only after his death!
