ADMISSION

For the past 30 years our long-lasting staff has inspired students to be creative, curious thinkers who feel both supported and motivated, but also to be kind and resilient, while having the courage and the confidence to discover the world around them.

We are now proudly guiding students from EYFS to Year 13 and expecting the first alumni generation in 2024.
We invite you to personally discuss with the dedicated program responsible to address any queries that you and your child might have. As per our tradition, we propose a walk & talk around the compound to see if we are right for each other.

Steps to the enrollment process

We acknowledge the uniqueness of each family and child, each with distinct needs and expectations. We encourage you to engage with our Admissions team for any inquiries directly. Our dedicated Admissions team will happily provide guidance and assistance throughout the process. We are a truly international school welcoming students of 28 different nationalities.
We have procedures in place to make this transition process as smooth as possible, help you settle in and make you feel part of our amazing King’s Oak British International School community.

Step 1: Contact us

Contact information: Please contact our Admissions office via email at reception@kingsoakschool.ro, or by filling out the enrolment inquiry form on the website. Upon receiving the form, we will schedule a meeting. We are delighted to offer both online and face-to-face meetings. We look forward to connecting with new families and understanding your needs and those of your children. We have procedures in place to make this transition process as smooth as possible, help you settle in and make you feel part of our amazing King’s Oak British International School community.

Step 2: Registration

Age requirements: We warmly welcome children from 18 months to Year 13, with the understanding that the school retains the right to place an applicant in the appropriate year group based on their assessment.

Step 3: Visit King's Oak

Experience the welcoming atmosphere at King’s Oak School. Starting from Year 3, students need to go through an assessment and an interview with the Head of Primary/Secondary. If possible, we will schedule a trial day at the school. We believe that organising a trial day provides students with a glimpse of the school’s environment and offerings, which helps them make informed decisions. It also allows potential students to attend classes, meet teachers and peers and understand the school’s culture. This aids in a smoother transition and better academic and social integration.

Step 4: Submission of documents
There are a set of mandatory documents that you will be asked to submit. The admissions team will send them to you via email, and we kindly ask you to send them back completed. If no places are available for your desired entry date, your child will be placed on our waiting list. We will then notify you when a place
becomes available
Step 5: Offer of admission

We welcome applicants who can thrive in our enriching educational environment and embrace our diverse international community. Once all requirements are fulfilled, we will be delighted to extend an offer of admission.

Step 6 - Start at King's Oak School

From the moment you and your child arrive at King’s Oak British International School, we will ensure that you enjoy a smooth process and a positive experience and soon feel part of the school community.
