The Importance of Drama Classes
Attending drama classes can provide children with many valuable skills which will be of use to them throughout life. There is a wide range of benefits and positive influences from drama and the performing arts on children, ranging from physical and emotional to social.Perhaps one of the most important skills a child can learn from drama is self confidence. Some children may be shy and not at all confident about coming forward and standing out.
However, improving self confidence is something that children can benefit from, even those who, on the surface, may already appear to be quite sure of themselves. Some children are great at working in groups, and some are more focused on their own thing, but drama classes will teach a child how to be part of a group, and how to work with other children within that group.
Being creative and learning to make creative choices helps children to be better at thinking of new ideas, allowing them to view the world around them in new ways.
We are very proud of all our children who have impressed everybody in the audience with their dancing, singing and acting while performing in “Jack and the Beanstalk” and “Move It!”.
