World Book Day 2019

Can you imagine a magical zebra, lovely fairies, brave knights and beautiful princeses, together with many more beloved characters in the same room ?

On Friday, 19th of April, King`s Oak was filled for a day with superheroes, animals, wizards and many more for World Book Day this year, an exciting event which everyone looked forward to. All children and staff dressed up as their favourite book characters and brought in their favourite books to share with each other, celebrating their love of reading and showing once more how reading ignites our imaginations and creativity!

Throughout the day, we have been  celebrating the joy of reading and appreciating the pleasure books and literature can bring us. We were impressed to see all our children participating in fantastic creative activities, from the reading challenge and door decorations to showing everybody their most loved book characters. The excitement was contagious!

A great day was had by all and most importantly it was a fantastic way to celebrate our love and enthusiasm for the humble, but incredibly important, BOOK!
