King's Oak School – Celebrating 30 Years of Excellence: EYFS to Secondary School

Inspiring creativity Developing confidence Celebrating community

King’s Oak is an educational institution committed to British and international values, that will soon celebrate 30 years of excellence through experience and outstanding academic results.
It all started with the need for a tailored & differentiated learning approach for our children, continued by growing together while achieving international accreditations to validate both teachers’ and students’ efforts, hence offering a global perspective, and now we are proudly guiding them from EYFS to Year 13 in a cosmopolite location by the lake in the northern part of Bucharest.

EYFS

Our Early Years Programme covers Nursery and Reception stages of your child’s education.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage from the English National Curriculum and we tailor it to our international environment.

Early Years classrooms are safe, colourful and stimulating learning spaces. Our programme has been designed to nurture every aspect of your child’s growth and to build their love for learning.

We provide a nurturing and supportive environment for children and we have fantastic outdoor learning spaces which enhance children’s learning across a broad curriculum. We are proud to ensure that children are at the heart of everything we do, and this can be seen in the feedback that we receive from parents for almost 30 years.

SECONDARY

The Secondary School, year 7 to year 13, is an exciting and dynamic one where students get to try new subjects, make decisions and continue to develop their leadership and academic skills. Building upon the firm foundations of the previous years, our secondary curriculum prepares students for the demands of the IGCSE and AS/A Level programmes, qualifications that are recognised and highly valued by universities around the world. Whilst encouraging the development of literacy, mathematical and IT skills, our students are challenged and stretched academically throughout their courses, with many students being exposed to IGCSE content early. Students study English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, History, Geography, Computer Science, Art, Music, Drama, Design Technology, a Modern Foreign Language (Spanish) and Physical Education. In addition, students also start the Duke of Edinburgh programme , working towards developing and reflecting upon their performance and experiences.
