I am pleased to commend the Kings Oak for the high standards of education the School provides and the friendly environment that has been created for the children attending the school by the teacher team and under your leadership.
The high ratio of teachers to pupils ensures a greater attention to the children’s educational needs. The school has developed a welcoming community spirit, which ensures a friendly, safe atmosphere where families, teachers and pupils can all focus on achieving the best possible rounded education and results. I have experienced the Kings Oak firsthand with all 3 of my children attending the school in the same time. The way the school inspired my kids to learn was noteworthy.
I have also had dealings with the Kings Oak as a Director of the BRCC and have found the feedback I received from the Chamber membership community as well as my own experiences to be very positive. All of the above ensures that the school lives up to the very highest International standards.

History
King’s Oak British International School was founded as The International School for Primary Education and is a non-profit organisation. It was established in 1994 by a group of parents. The aim was to provide quality education in English for children in Bucharest.
Initially set up as the International Nursery School, the success and growth of the school meant that new premises were soon needed.
In 1995 the school moved to the ‘French Village’ where the school continued to flourish – reaching full capacity in 2004. A combination of the number of children on the waiting list, coupled with parental requests to provide continuing education up to the age of 11 years old, resulted in the need for relocation again. A suitable, purpose built school and surrounding area was found and, on 1st September 2009, the school changed its name to InSPE to reflect that it was now a combined Nursery and Primary School. In 2016 we evolved into King’s Oak British International School, with a Nursery, Primary and Secondary.
King’s Oak British International School is renowned for its vibrant and inclusive atmosphere resulting from our various programs and initiatives. Our school takes pride in its exceptional team of seasoned educators, who are not only nurturing but also serve as a source of inspiration. They facilitate a range of activities, from cultural festivals that celebrate diversity to collaborative projects that foster a sense of community. At King’s Oak, we view learning as an exciting and challenging journey. We are dedicated to guiding our students through this journey, fostering brilliance from Pre-Nursery all the way through Secondary School.

Our Emblem
Our school emblem, a unifying symbol, draws inspiration from our guiding motto:”Fostering creativity, nurturing confidence, and celebrating community.” The emblem showcases a tree, symbolising values such ashonesty, integrity, wisdom, and the potential for continuous growth.
The inclusion of a globe represents our identity as an international school, while the crown universally signifies prestige. Additionally, the presence of a book serves as a poignant reminder of the pivotal role knowledge plays in our lives.
It symbolises the free exchange of ideas and information between our students and educators, underscoring our school’s unwavering commitment to lifelong learning.
